January 20-22, 2010 – Day 391-393 – Koh Samui, Thailand
Well, it’s the middle of winter and we have managed to lodge ourselves in a palm shady sandy spot listening to the soft sound of waves lapping up at the shore.

When we have had enough of the sun and sand, we take a lazy stroll into town (maybe 15 minutes walking) and go to our new favorite place to eat where we get spoiled by the sweet lady who runs the place. Each time we return she always brings us something extra like delicious fruit smoothies or a big plate of fresh fruit. If she keeps feeding us like this we are going to get fat!

The days kind of blend together in a slow pace. Nothing is a big deal and no one is in a hurry. Some of the holidaymakers have yet to adjust to the pace around town. Everything is so much prettier, so much easier, so much nicer when you slow down a notch and give a smile.

This is Thailand, land of smiles and they really are very happy people. And how can you be in a bad mood in such a lovely place where everything is so simple and easy, not to mention how wonderful the people are and how great the food is?
