Luxurious Surprise!
December 8, 2009 – Day 348 – Alleppy, Kerala, India
Today was another travel day but we stumbled into a bit of luxury when we arrived to Alleppy. As usual, there were touts waiting for us when we got off the bus but today we were lucky to be greeted by one who had a great place on offer.

Even better, he offered to pay for the rickshaw to take us there just so we could look at it. Of course we agreed because the place sounded nice and besides, we were getting a free lift out of the bus stand. When we arrived at the “executive homestay” called Daffodils, we were pleasently surprised!

The building was beautiful and the price (300rps) was even more enticing!

That is a great price for a clean, good looking place to rest up. Sometimes those touts are telling the truth!

I agree, excellent price and good quality. I’ve stayed in some cheap places in India before and most weren’t pleasant experiences.
