Something to talk about
October 27-29, 2009 – Day 306-308 – Jaipur, India
Passed 2 days in Jaipur readjusting to the real India after our pleasant sojourn in little Tibet. Funny how being out of India (let’s be honest, Mcleod really isn’t India at all) for a week can really throw you for a loop when you come back. It’s loud, dirty, irritating and overly complicated, the food is too spicy and can be difficult to find and everyone is yelling at you for something. But on the 29th we had a very lovely day exploring the beautiful Amber Fort and the Jaighur Fort.

The world according to Bootsy
The Amber Fort is really spectacular and quite fun to wander through. There are so many little passages and tunnels it is amazing to think that anyone could have ever found his or her way through it!

The Jaighur Fort is on the hill above the Amber Fort and you can walk up to it from Amber or you can take a rickshaw for a pretty penny. We chose to walk and it turned out to be pretty tiring in the blazing sun but it offered a nice view of the fort below.

Plus we got to see the world’s largest cannon (which oddly enough didn’t really seem that big).

sure its big... but is it THAT big
