October 4, 2009 – Day 283 – Khajuraho, India

A great day to see some kama sutra temples! The rain held off til late into the evening so we had a sunny if hazy day at the western temples. (Fair warning the following includes pictures that may be considered NSFW)

They are really beautiful and so intricate. Even though the entrance fee is steep (Rs. 250 foreigners compared to Rs. 10 locals…racial discrimination at its best), it is well worth it. The grounds are well maintained and provide plenty of places to sit in the sun or shade to relax and enjoy one of the cleanest places in the town (or maybe country). Since pictures can offer a better glimpse at the beautiful temples, here is a look at what we took while visiting.
